chips and popcorn

Dirty Original Recipe– Sweet Potato Chips (1.5 ounces)

479 Degrees– Popcorn in Pumpkin Pecan Praline (5 ounces!)

This popcorn is to die for good. I pretty much ate the entire 5 ounce bag in one sitting. Oops.

IMAG2759_1

graham sticks and sesame sticks

Back to Nature – Honey Graham Sticks

Bella Rustico– Tocchetti Sesame Sticks (imported from Italy)

Both of these snacks were delicious. I already ate them both and loved them.

IMAG2760_1

David’s Tea

David’s Tea – Sampler with 2 tea packets and a voucher for a free cup of tea

David’s Tea is located in Chicago (and I’m not sure where else). I’ve tried their tea before, and it’s decent. I know it gets rave reviews by people who live in Chicago. I’m excited to try the herbal sample we got. I don’t drink caffeinated tea.

IMAG2761_1

Sheila G’s– Brownie Brittle in Salted Caramel

Snappers– Chocolate Pretzel Snacks

Both of these are DELICIOUS. We also got a coupon for a FREE bag of Snappers. Gosh I hope my store carries them, because they are a pretzel/chocolate delight.

IMAG2762_1

18 Rabbbits Jr. – Granola Bar in Caramel Apple

I’ve had this brand before and love it. I am happy to try this new to me flavor! And it’s very appropriate for fall.

Biscoff – Cookies

These are delicious. There’s only one cookie in each packet, which is kind of a tease, so I ate both at once (and still wanted more).

IMAG2763_1

Dilletante – Raspberry Truffles

Monbana– Dark and Milk Chocolates

Maui Whites – Cane Sugar

LWF usually sends a bunch of sweet treats during the holidays and I love that. I like that these are small, single portions so that I can have 1 or 2 at a time (and not an entire bag, though I wouldn’t complain if they sent me a whole bag of truffles).

IMAG2764

coupons

We got a lot of great coupons this time around! I’m hoping my local store carries some of these items so that I can take advantage of the discounts.

Torie and Howard Chews

Torie and Howard– Chewie Fruities in Blood Orange and Honey

I’ve had this brand’s hard candy before and it’s pretty good! I love chewy candy, so I’m excited to try these. I do wish they had included a package of them and not just 3. That’s kind of lame.

Beecher's Crackers

Beecher’s Crackers

Beecher’s– Original Crackers

I can’t figure out if these have cheese in them or just made by a cheese company. I’m hoping for cheese flavor!

October Love with Food

October Love with Food

I didn’t do a cost breakdown on this box, because it was difficult for me to find some items. Love with Food usually comes under in value, but is always a good variety of snacks. I was pleased with all of these snacks this month!

August Love with Food

August Love with Food

The total value of this month’s box is $15.80. It’s very rare for Love with Food to meet or exceed the value of the box, but you do pay for curation, variety, and some of your purchase donates meals to food banks. I was much happier with this box than the last box and was pleased to see a full sized product (the organic hard candies) in the box. Sometimes when LWF includes candy, they just put a few pieces, so a full sized bag was a nice addition! I still completely recommend this box. They have great customer service, it’s easy to manage your subscription online, and I’ve never had any issues with delivery.

Love with Food July 2015 + 40% off your first box

Disclosure: This post contains referral links.

I received the July 2015 Love with Food Surfin’ USA deluxe box. I pay for the 12 month subscription. This box is $19.95/month or $16.50/month if you sign up for an annual subscription. Click here to get 40% off your first box! Love with Food ships DHL/USPS and arrived to me in 5 days.

First look at July's box!

First look at July’s box!

One Potato Two Potato – Kettle Potato Chips in Hawaiin BBQ (2 ounces) – $1.48 per bag

IMAG2040

One Potato Two Potato BBQ Chips

These chips are kettle cooked and made with non-GMO ingredients. I am probably the most excited about these in my box this month!

Fruitival – Banana Chips (1.76 ounces) – $2 (?)

IMAG2043

Fruitival Banana Chips

These banana chips are a product of Thailand (I guess we don’t really produce bananas in the United States) and are all natural, trans fat free, and preservative free. These are by far the best banana chips I’ve ever eaten! I don’t usually like banana chips that much, but these are thin and crispy with the right mix of sweet and salty. I love these.

SunRype – Wildberry Fruit Strip – $.33 (bottom of photo)

This strip has a peel and eat design and is gluten free. Since these are so inexpensive, I wish our box would have included at least 2. I mean, is that too much to ask? I love me some fruit strips.

IMAG2046

Biscotti di Suzy (top) and SunRype Fruit Strip (bottom)

Biscotti di Suzy – Lemon Almond flavor – $1 (?) per biscotti (top of photo)

My grandmother used to make homemade biscotti, so I’m excited to take a trip down memory lane with these lemony cookies. These biscotti were buttery and had a nice lemon flavor. They tasted fresh, too. Definite win.

Tasty – Organic Fruit Snacks in Wild Berry and Mixed Fruit (.8 ounces) – $.96 per bag

IMAG2050

Tasty Organic Fruit Snacks

I am loving all the fruity stuff in this box. It fits well with the theme and also fits well into my tummy. I tried the mixed fruit and I appreciated the number of fruit snacks in the bag (some bags are really skimpy). They were soft and very gummy almost like gummy candies. They weren’t my all time favorite fruit snacks, but I ate them all and enjoyed them for sure.

Bear Naked – Coconut Almond Curry Granola (1.2 ounces) – $1.10 per bag

IMAG2041

Bear Naked Granola

I’ve seen curry in other granolas lately. I’m not sure how well I’ll like this, but I’m certainly willing to try!

Sea’s Gift – Roasted Seaweed Snack in Sweet n’ Salty (.17 ounce) – $.66

This seaweed is organic and non-GMO. Seaweed has been a miss with me in the past, but I’m willing to give this one a try especially because I’m intrigued by the flavor.

Sea's Gift Seaweed (left) and Bare Coconut Chips (right)

Sea’s Gift Seaweed (left) and Bare Coconut Chips (right)

Bare – Simply Toasted Crunchy Coconut Chips (.35 ounce) – $.73

These coconut chips are all natural, gluten free, non-GMO, and trans fat free. I enjoy coconut and might try these on frozen yogurt or gelato.

Glee Gum – Gum Pops in Juicy Orange – $.46 each

IMAG2049

Glee Gum Pops

I’m excited to try an all natural gum pop. I can’t remember the last time I had one of these since I try to stay away from foods with “unnatural” ingredients.

True Citrus – Crystallized Fruit Packets in Grapefruit, Lime, Lemon, and Orange (2 of each) – $.12 each packet

IMAG2047

True Citrus Crystallized Fruit

I will probably use these for baking and cooking since I don’t flavor my water or tea. Neat idea. The only ingredients are crystallized fruit. Each packet is one wedge of fruit.

Coupons

IMAG2052

Coupons

A coupon to a free lean cuisine meal was included ($3.99 value), but I don’t count coupons in box values because probably 75% of the time I can’t find the stuff in stores near me and it’s not an actual item. Glee Gum sent a 15% off code (LOVEGLEE715) and True Citrus sent a 30% off code (TRUELOVEWITHFOOD30).

See my YouTube unboxing HERE!

The total value of this month’s box was $14.68 (including some prices I had to guess because I couldn’t find actual values). This box had a pretty low value and I’m actually kind of disappointed that Love with Food only included 15 products when the deluxe box is supposed to include 16-20 products. I’ve emailed Love with Food to see if they can make this right and will update you when I hear back from them! UPDATE: Love with Food apologized for only sending 15 items and added 500 points to my account ($5 credit in their shop). I’m usually pretty happy with Love with Food and I like the variety of foods in this box, but most people expect a return on value in their boxes. With those fruit strips only coming in at $.33, why couldn’t they have included 2 or even 3 in the box? This box just seems skimpy to me. I do like their charitable cause, though, so I’ll give them a little break for that, but I’m not overly thrilled with my first box back. What did you think of this month’s box? Let me know  in the comments!

lwf3

Mario Pitted Snack Olives (.7 ounces; 2 packs): $1.26 each

I do not like olives at all, but I know people who do, so I’ll give these little snack packs to them to enjoy. This is a cute idea!

lwf5

479 Black Truffle + White Cheddar Popcorn (.5 ounce): $.58

This popcorn sounds really interesting! It’s the perfect snack size to go with a piece of fruit after I’m done teaching mid-morning.

lwf6

Guylian Artisan Belgian Chocolates (2 pieces): $.82

These are shell shaped Belgian chocolates that look rich and delicious!

Biscotti di Suzy Chocolate Chip Biscotti (2): $.75 each

I love biscotti! And I love chocolate chip. These sound like the perfect combination.

lwften

Emily’s Dark Chocolate Covered Blueberries (1 ounce; 2 packs): $1.05 each

These look delicious. Blueberry isn’t my favorite berry, but I’m getting a taste for it lately. Plus anything smothered in dark chocolate is good in my book.

lwf4

Beanitos Restaurant Style Chips (1.5 ounce): $1.08 each

I’ve had another flavor of these before and they are DELICIOUS! Can’t wait to try these.

lwf8

Gavottes Biscuits (6 pieces): $.20 each

From what I can tell online, these are little crepe style cookies made in France. I pretty much love anything made in France, so I’m going to be all over these this month!

lwf9

Tcho Mokaccino and Dark Chocolate (4 pieces): $.93 each

These little chocolates are fair trade and organic. The company promotes “no slavery.” I’m so glad LWF included a company like this that is socially responsible. I’m sure these little chocolate bites will be delicious, too! These are definitely pricey little bars, but for a splurge and to support fair trade chocolate, it’s worth it.

lwf7

Love with Food Chip Clip: $.50 (?)

This is a cute addition! I’ll definitely use this.

Revolution Foods Meal Kit Coupon (FREE): $4.99 value

I hope I can find these meal kits in Target to try them out. The coupon is good through the end of April, so I have a couple of months to get over there and try it out.

lwfeleven

Back to Nature Honey Graham Sticks (1 ounce; 2 packs): $.60 each

I love this brand and I love honey flavored snacks. Can’t wait to bring these as a grab and go snack!

The total value of the February 2014 box is $21.29. This included the coupon, which I’m assuming not everyone will be able to use, so that means the value of the food items is less than the $19.95 cost of the box. I’m cool with that, because 2 meals are donated to food banks and the cost includes shipping. Plus, I get a variety of foods to try. I do think that the past couple of months have been a bit skimpy in terms of the fullness of the box and I’d like to see one or two more items. I’m definitely going to stick with the box, though, because I really enjoy it each month.

Love with Food January 2014

Yum-0, here we go! Please use my referral link to subscribe: https://lovewithfood.com/?ref=qKX  Thank you!

lwfboxThe box wasn’t as crammed full as it has been in the past, but there was still a great selection of goodies!

lwf2

Home Free Chocolate Chip Cookies (Gluten Free; 3 packs): $1.49 each

I’ve had this brand before and it’s AMAZING. I don’t even care that these are gluten free. I love them.

lwf3

Lovely Candy Company Super Fruit Chews: $1.20

This package had a little over one serving of these chews (although the label said it had 4 servings…it was super confusing). These were OK, but not my favorite. They are healthier versions of Starbursts, but when I opened them, I was hoping for more of a fruit snack.

Hi I’m Skinny Minis Sticks (Multi-Grain Sea Salt): $1

These were pretty tasty, but I’m not a fan of the brand name at all. I don’t think aspiring to be “skinny” is very healthy. I wouldn’t buy this brand, because that turned me off.

lwf4

Jer’s Squares (2 in Original and 2 in Pretzo Change-O): $.90 each

OMG these are so delicious. They were gone very fast after I opened my box. Salty and sweet and chocolatey.

lwf5Cafe Borsa Hand Drip Coffee (single serving): $1

I don’t drink coffee, so I’ll be giving this to someone else.

Morning Sunshine Breakfast Cookie: $2.25

I’m slightly afraid of this monster because it has coffee in it and I don’t drink caffeine. It is a cool idea, though, and I’ll probably try it out- not all at once! It’s HUGE.

lwf7

Annie’s Berry Berry Organic Bar: $.70

I love Annie’s stuff and haven’t ever tried their bars, so I’m going to have this with some fruit as a snack one day in between classes.

Blue Diamond Almonds (2 single serving packs): $.50 each

I love almonds and buy Blue Diamond quite often, so these will be another great snack with fruit one day. I LOVE that LWF always gives single serving sizes, but that the Deluxe box comes with 2 or more so you can have them a couple times.

lwf8

Dang Toasted Coconut Chips (1.43 ounces): $3

We had gotten these in a previous box and this was a replacement for an item they couldn’t get to us in time. I don’t love these, but they are tasty. I still haven’t finished the other package, so it’ll be a while before I get to this one!

lwf6
Oskri Orange Bar (2): $.85 each

I’m slightly afraid of these bars because I’m really picky about what dried fruits I like, but I’m willing to give these a try!

Oskri Dried Cranberries: $1

I do enjoy dried cranberries on salads and in muffins, so I’ll definitely get use out of these!

The total value of the January 2014 LWF box is $20.92. It’s slightly over the cost of the box and that includes shipping!  I love the variety in LWF. I also love that they donate meals to food banks. Great box!

Love with Food December 2013

LWF Deluxe is a really awesome box. I love that there is a variety of sweet/salty snacks and most of them are single serve. I use these to “grab and go” when I need something along with fruit or a veggie. I don’t see canceling my subscription any time soon. Plus, LWF donates money to food banks which is also awesome. Please use my referral link to subscribe: https://lovewithfood.com/?ref=qKX

Here’s our December unboxing:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ORSFxuMazhA

lwf1So many great goodies for December! I really wish LWF would include prices on their information cards. It’s so tedious to look up all these products!

lwf2

Love With Food Reusable Shopping Bag: $2 (?)

This was a really nice holiday addition! I use these things all the time so I was happy to add another one to my collection.

$35 Hello Fresh Gift Card

I probably won’t use this, as I’d still have to spend $35 on my first box (and then cancel), but if you’d like to have the code, post your email in the comments section and I’ll email you it!

lwf3

Oogies Sun-Dried Tomato & Parmesan Popcorn (2 1 ounce bags): $.62 each

I usually  make my own popcorn at home with coconut oil, but I’m excited to try this interesting sounding flavor.

Food Should Taste Good Sweet Potato Chips (2 1 ounce bags): $.57 each

I really enjoy Food Should Taste Good chips and haven’t yet tried the sweet potato ones out. Excited to give them a go!

lwf4

Maddy Melts Marshmallow Beverage Toppers (2): $1 each

I tried these with hot chocolate and they were delicious! Not to sweet at all and definitely not sugary like the store bought marshmallows. They were a bit larger than my mug, so I spilled hot chocolate everywhere, but still yummy.

Les Confitures a L’Ancienne Hot Chocolate Packets (2): $.83 each

This hot chocolate was decent. Nothing too special, but definitely tasty. I like that it’s imported from France. That’s kind of cool!

lwf6

Sorry the picture is sideways!

Betty Lou’s Angell Organic Candy Bars (1 dark chocolate, 1 white chocolate): $2 each

These were both amazingly delicious. Organic candy bars? Uh, yes!

Donsuemor Chocolate Dipped Madelines (2): $.65 each

These were so good. The texture was soft and moist. Perfect!

lwf5Sorry again for the upside down photo! I forgot to turn them right side up when I saved them. Oops!

Dip’n Pepper and Artichoke Bruschetta (2 small packets): $2.37 each

I like the idea of these, but I think because I don’t like artichoke, I did not enjoy the flavor of this at all. I tried it with crackers and cheese and I couldn’t get past that flavor. I’d love to try this in a traditional bruschetta topping (tomato, balsamic, basil) instead.

34 Degrees Natural Crisps (2 .22 ounce packs): $.15 each

These are the SMALLEST packs I’v ever seen. Seriously I think there are like 3 crackers in each one. I wish these samples had been bigger. I’ve seen this brand in stores and never tried it.  I’m excited to see if I like them before buying a whole box.

lwf7

St Claire’s Organics Peppermints (2 packets): $1.19 each

I had gotten a pack of these in an Eco Emi box last month, so I gave these away as stocking stufferse.

Desert Gardens Spinach Dip Mix: $3.24

I don’t like spinach dip, so I gave this away, too!

lwf8Grey Ghost Bakery Mollasses Spice Cookies (2 cookies): $2.00

These were moist and chewy and oh so good! I’m pretty sure I ate them 5 seconds after my box came. I wish there had been another packet of them!

Lindt Excellence 70% Chocolate Mini Bars (2): $.40 each

I love 70% dark chocolate and I buy Lindt quite often, so I was really happy to see this in the box!

The total value of the December 2013 box is $26.80! And that doesn’t include the Hello Fresh card. That definitely exceeds the cost ($19.95, including shipping). Again I’m pleased with LWF Deluxe!
