Love with Food August 2013

I got my Love with Food box today and it’s full of delicious items. I know I’ll love ALL of them! Yum! I’m so excited, because LWF has been a bit of a miss for me the past 2 months. I’m glad they made up for it this month. I’m going to give them one more month (September) and then re-evaluate if I want to keep it or either subscribe to an artisan dessert box (Treatsie or Orange Glad) or use the $12 towards my own dessert haul every month. That could be fun!

Watch me unbox this month’s goodies!

Everything looks delicious!

Aunt Sally’s Creamy Pralines (1.5 ounces): $2.17

I’m so excited to get something from a small shop in New Orleans. If LWF always did specialty foods from small shops, I’d keep them forever. Ditch the big brands! The only problem is that these were super melty. I emailed LWF and hopefully they’ll send a replacement. I can’t even tell what they are supposed to look like, because it’s in one melted clump.

Rip Van Wafel Caramel Filled Amsterdam Wafel (1.2 ounces): $1.25

Another item that looks delicious and is from a small business. Love! This is also melty/broken, so I hope I get a replacement for this, too! But seriously, I will still eat it. Can you say yum?!

Save the Earth Fresh Mint Mints (.25 ounce): $2.19

This company will plant a fruit tree for each container of mints sold. Cool! And I love to have mints on hand for after meals. I never buy them myself, so I’m glad to have a whole package of them. And the package is adorable!

El Pinto Medium Salsa (Sample pack): $.50

I will pop this right into my fridge and enjoy with tortilla chips one day soon. I normally make my own salsa, but it’s time consuming and it’s sometimes fun to try out a new type. Plus, this salsa is all natural. Can’t beat that! There are 5 ingredients. That’s less than what my salsa has. Try to find that in the store!

Sahale Snacks Cranberries, Sesame Seeds, and Honey (.75 ounce): $.65

I already buy these and love them!! I eat them on salads and they add a crunch and chew that I can’t even describe. Such an awesome company based in Seattle, too.

Snapea Crisps (.75 ounce): $.36

I also already buy these and love them. I’m glad LWF included a coupon for buy one get one free. I hope I can find the Lentil Crisps in my store and try them out.

Good Boys Organics BOPS (.8 ounce): $.93

An organic chip?! I don’t think I’ve seen anything like this in the store. I never eat chips since they are so unhealthy, so I’m really excited to try these out! I don’t think my store carries them, though.

Dizzy Pig Tsunami Spin Seasoning (Sample Size): $1

This will be great for chicken and fish. Can’t wait to try it!

The total value of the August 2013 box is $9.05. This is definitely a better value than the last box I got. I really am loving this box! Can’t wait to see what September brings. If it’s as good as August, I’ll stay subscribed for sure. Get $5 off your LWF subscription by using my referral link: https://lovewithfood.com/?ref=qKX
